I think fame is a two-sided power — it gives you opportunities and sometimes helps you get self-realized, but being popular also means being outgoing and patient, because some people can be quite rude towards popular people. You become recognized by everyone and have to be polite in order to keep up with your image. Being famous means being responsible, as famous people are often taken for the role models by insignificant people and teenagers, and only those of them can be happy who is conscious enough to put up with the responsibility.
